What is Incognito mode used for?

A browser setting known as "incognito mode" or "private window" prevents your browser from remembering the websites you visit and from using any of its built-in cookies or cache.

This is a helpful tool if you make changes to your browser and when you visit it, you are unable to see them. This will enable you to determine whether the problem is with your browser's cache or anything else.

The option is known by a different name in each browser. It is known as Incognito Mode in Chrome, InPrivate Mode in Microsoft Edge, Private Browsing in Safari, and Private Window in Firefox.
